These short stories are written by Rylan, and illustrated by Evan. We have been wanting to work on a collaborative project together and these story collages are the result. We both appreciate the long history of the “exquisite corpse” approach to generate ideas, which exercise our imaginations.

This is a project I have been thinking about for a long time. Because I reference textures and colors found in the environment around me in my paintings, I wanted to pair visual inspirations with my actual work; these are swatches to show where the elements in my work are derived from.
